Neva Setlow’s Sculpture at the Suffolk Legislature’s Art in the Alcove
(Smithtown, NY)…Neva Setlow of East Quogue, New York has been a sculptor andpainter for more than 30 years. She works in a variety of materials, but her primary sculpting medium is Plexiglas. Currently on exhibit, until October 31, at the SuffolkCounty Legislature’s Art in the Alcove is Neva Setlow’s Memory of Spring, which is created from Plexiglas, Fresnel lenses and printed images. Art in the Alcove is located off the lobby of the William Rogers Legislature Building at 725 Veterans Memorial Highway in Hauppauge. It is open Monday – Friday from 9am until 5pm and closed on weekends and holidays.
Neva’s sculptural work is concerned with the interplay of light, color and reflection. She has created several series of sculpture, including organic images that reference nature or the universe. She has studied and worked in both science and art.
